If you’re not in a legal state to play online poker, you’re not alone. West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan are just a few of the many places to try. Ignition Poker is one such place. But you should be careful when playing in these states, too. In this article, I’ll show you how to avoid a few of the common pitfalls and keep your personal information private. In addition, I’ll tell you about a few online poker apps in each of these states.
West Virginia
The first phase of West Virginia’s new online poker law will open in March 2019. The state recently passed the West Virginia Lottery Interactive Wagering Act, which legalized most forms of internet gambling, including poker. The new law, however, has yet to be signed by Governor Jim Justice. That being the case, the state is preparing to launch its first online poker site before that date. However, if the state passes this bill, poker will be legal in West Virginia by March 2019.
Pennsylvania
There are several reasons to play online poker in Pennsylvania. The state has a legal online gambling environment, and it’s worth checking out online poker sites from this state before you make your decision. Here are a few of them:
Michigan
While attempting to legalize online poker in Michigan, lawmakers have come up with two options. The first is the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, which would permit online poker and sports betting in the state. The second option would expand the state’s existing online poker industry and create a regulatory body that could monitor the activities of both online and land-based poker operations. Both options are pending, but neither option seems likely to pass. Despite the opposition, lawmakers continue to work towards the legalization of online poker in Michigan.
Ignition Poker
Ignition Poker offers a range of poker games, including Omaha hi-lo, no-limit hold’em, and hold’em. In addition to cash games, the site also offers tournaments in a variety of formats, including sit-and-go formats, knockout tournaments, rebuy and add-on tournaments, and double-up and triple-up games. For casual recreational players, the selection is more than adequate.
YouStake
Known for its innovative online poker technology, YouStake has attracted attention from both investors and the startup community. Its recent announcement of its acceptance into the 500 Startups global seed fund is a major development, as it marks the company’s first poker product in the accelerator program. It also has numerous investors backing the business, including Greg “Fossilman” Raymer, the former World Series of Poker (WSOP) World Champion.
Global Poker
To play poker at Global Poker, you will need to make an account and verify your account. If you are new to the poker site, you can complete the verification process at any time of the day. If you already have an account, you can skip this step. To play Global Poker, you will need to have an email address. Global Poker does not accept bank transfers. They do offer withdrawal options, but they are not as convenient as cash.
